App concept for the Washington Trails Association. My goal was to take the WTA's robust website and distill it into a user friendly app for easy reference of hiking information while on the go.
User Flow
The app prioritizes access to information that users will need when they are on the way to or arriving at a hike. Parking pass information is clearly laid out and the location module links directly to the user's preferred maps application for simple access to driving directions. No more trying to type convoluted trailhead addresses into the maps app.
Users can 'love' hikes that are then saved to their profile for a quick list of possibilities when they set out for the day. Trip reports are also included on the hike information page so that user's can be up to date on hike conditions.
Users can search using map or list view and can apply a variety of filters to find just the right hike for them. The filter categories are all based on existing data tied to each hike on the WTA website.
